Why so huge? It's getting to be about the size of a corvette, pardon the comparison. I mean I like the looks, but why are cars growing so quickly? Are humans getting that big?

Well that and the growing trend in general. It seems that cars have to get taller, wider, heavier just so they can fit all the latest junk people want in their cars. Once you do that you need more power, i.e. bigger engines which need bigger brakes, radiators, stronger transmissions etc. It is getting out of hand with some brands.

It was very clever of BMW to make this car looker bigger and bulkier than it really is. That said isn't it a little early for a new Z4?

Looking very very good, especially w/ the lady riding shotgun! Ha! Anyway, the car looks swell, just hoping the rear overhang isn't as long as pictured.

Not necesarly. But I do belive the Z4 and Boxter/Cayman are fat pigs. And it's not just BMW. Porsche and Ferrari are also churning fat pigs.
Honestly, now we have Corvete to show us its done.
