M roadster looks sick, reg. car look good, always has imo. I'm hoping I'll be thrilled w/ the news that they stuck the new high rev V8 under the hood.

Re: Official (?) pics of facelifted Z4 and M Roadster

I expect those are the real press pics, as Tine said. They don't look anything like chops or pictures I've seen, and the lighting and stuff looks entirely believable. The colouring reminds me of the leaked pics of the M6 we saw a while ago, and also the Audi S8 pics that were leaked recently.

Anyhow, I actually like the non-M Z4's facelift. It makes the front look a little less 'low' and featureless. Not bad. OTOH, I don't like the Z4M's front bumper, lines and vents in all directions. The rear of it looks quite good though.

The front head light looks better then the old one.

Overall, i am not sure it will look good or not, since usually car looks better from a lower angle.

The front looks better I think. That M bumper is looking much better than stock, plus that red color is wonderful. Rear bumper also gets an applause from me. On the other hand, those rear lights. I think I might like the old one better, but I need more pics.

Re: Official (?) pics of facelifted Z4 and M Roadster

An official press release is out - on BMW Press Club (German) site. A lot of pics & news. Expect them to appear on net later today - after 4 PM (Central european Time) when press embargo ends!

Btw, the pics I've posted in this thread are 100% real!

Some date (for German market!!! - sales starts on 25 March 2006) - just for taste:

BMW Z4 Roadster 2.0i (150HP, 8.1s 0-100kmh, max V=220kmh): €28,900
BMW Z4 Roadster 2.5i (177HP, 7.1s 0-100kmh, max V=229kmh): €31,400
BMW Z4 Roadster 2.5si (218HP, 6.5s 0-100kmh, max V=240kmh): €34,400
BMW Z4 Roadster 3.0si (265HP, 5.7s 0-100kmh, max V=250kmh - limited): €40,400
BMW Z4 M Roadster (343HP, 5.0s 0-100kmh, max V=250kmh - limited): €57,900

All Z4 feature 6-speed manual, but 2.5si & 3.0si are also available with optional 6-speed Sport-Automatic gearbox with shifting paddles on steering wheel.

"Angel-eyes" are now present in head lights, so are "neon - tubes" (CELIS LED) in rear lights. Cat-eye reflector (white or orange) is no more featured in head light cluster, but is a part of wheel arc. Interior is upgraded in materal quality, etc, etc ... More after 4pm.

I do not know. Scott sometimes brings an internal BMW info - things that BMW officials discuss. Some of the ideas are realised some aren't.

Maybe they'll be called M4 in the next generation, or when the car hits dealers.

Btw, here is a sum of official press release - So, embargo is dead ...
