German Car Zone

One complaint I've always had about the Z4 is the bare and semi-dull interior. I see that BMW are making a major effort in making the Z4 a more domestic and habitable car. I'm liking what they have done for the interior, it will now have more character and is more stylish like the TT. The car will look spectacular in monaco blue with a beige interior.

Maybe the so called X5/X6 '///M' arent going to be badged ///M (since Mr. Richter did preach about how an SAV was against ///M philosophy and perhaps BMW are going to introduce the performance derivatives of X5/X6 tii??

Damn, you guys have really thrown lots of bones over the last couple pages. Looking forward to some exciting threads in the near future (esp this talk about the E89 designer)

Or even better: how many cars designed (exterior) by a female designer you know?

Automobile exterior design ... it's a male thing.

So, a female designing an exterior of a production car is still a big deal for me.

OK, the interior - it's a female thing. Materials & trim & colors etc. Even the design (mind E65 7er - the interior was designed by Mrs. Swantje Roessner) ... but exterior.

I guess it's some sort of women power going on at BMW AG.

BMW even put a woman in charge of design engineering. Mind: Patricia Ghella Schroeder is a boss there.

PS: but I must admit ... pick-up designed by a women is even more crazy than a sports cars (designed by a female designer).
