Complete conjecture - the economy is a rough place to launch a premium-segment roadster. I think BMW are waiting this one out, because there's lots of development eggs in this basket and they'd be playing to a very, very tough crowd right now. That's my theory anyways.

When he told us about 5-series E39 new engine updates and new model names. A couple of months later it turned out to be true. He also told us about some information about the M3 E92 that turned out to be true. Its not Scott's fault that some people above him with greater power change their mind about products. And why would he say the Z4 is coming 5th November when he knows people will mis-credit and crucify him if it doesn't turn out to be true? I'm pretty sure Scott was told 5th November but some guys higher up on the ladder have changed their mind. I don't believe Scott in everything he says, thats why I don't get upset anymore when it turns out its not happening. When it does become a reality then I'm just happy. But I can't sit here and have a grudge against a person on the net, I have never met.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!) Guys... stop it now... this is a Z4 thread. What are we doing discussing whether Scott is legit or not? On another note... I HAVE SEEN THE CAR!!!!!! The car's stance is absolutely mindblowing! It's a mix of the old Z4, lots of 6er elements and a few parts here and there from the Z8. I will tell you something, those camouflage that's one the E89 lately still does an amazing job. There are lines that you cannot see with the tape on, and it's gorgeous. My favorite part hands down is the front though. Can't comment on the interior because it was covered up. The boot is surprisingly spacious imo. Be patient guys, this car has me drooling all over the place. P.S. Ironic that the last few pages have been about people's credibility on the board. If you think I totally pulled that out of the air to stir things up, then go right ahead. But you'll be amazed at how good looking this car is in real life. I don't understand why Scott's relationship with BMW keeps coming into question. Things like engine variants specs, new colors that aren't released across and other info that he releases means he knows more than most people. You are welcomed to question whether he really is a big shot in marketing or not... but it's just FOOLISH for you guys to deny that he doesn't have inside info. He's maybe a supplier, secret BMW agent, line worker... who knows? But I can confirm that he knows much more than some noob online. ON that note: Please let's get back on topic |

I was too busy dissecting the different designs on the car. Imo, if I was to be asked whether I can have an E92 M3 or a Z4 with the tt engine, I might have to flip a coin. I liked it that much. |

There is nothing else to talk about in regards to the Z4 so I'll wait for the car's release. | |
