Well I hope it doesn't exceed 3300lb. the pics show it almost the same size as far as I could see...

No I have grown older too and will accept a slightly heavier (but by heavy i mean 3300 and not more).

ahh the only good news. Hopefully that'll benefit the trunk as well.

Another reason being the release of BMW's financial record for the quarter which will come first alowing for the good news of product launches and generate on the back of it.
What ??? I think I didn't understood that well !!!

I'm counting the days for months !!!!!

Do you mean November 5 is not the final release date ????

If I understand correctly, this means that the product announcements (ie R57 and E89) are postponed till next week, due to the financial report release tomorrow morning ?

Yep! The people at BMW were blind when the decided on the release date. Now, it has been 'fixed'

It has everything to do with the presidential election in the U.S, Tatoun. That's what the world is looking at right now, and not some new Bimmer.

It only makes sense. I've always thought that the proposed Nov. 5 release date was a bad call.
Love it that Eni's getting all Mavericky on us.

I knew it was a bad thing to to do as well. It would not have been bad for me. I would have had my cake and eat it too.

I'm so bummed about it. At least throw us a grainy pic or SOMETHING BMW.

Well sorry but for me it's a very bad sign to give: the beginning of deceived promises...

I'm more than disappointed...

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

Deceiving promises? Well, not if we read what has been said. The Z4 will not be a classic sportscar in the spirit of old days roadsters. I will be to heavy for this. It will look like a classic roadster and in a sense it will feel like a classic big engined roadster but as the car will be heavy it will have to resort to level 5 physics magic - just like the type of spells cast on the X6.

In that way it will be versatile and engaging at the same time - a bit odd in a sportscar roadster. That is where the big news lies.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

Sometimes I think people have mistaken BMW for Lotus. They're not in the business of building sports cars, they build well-handling luxury cars.

The Z4 will be relatively heavy and will come loaded with the latest smattering of technical yim-yams to woo affluent consumers who desire a high level of domestication in their motoring environment.

I expect the all-new Z4 to be nothing less than great looking, fun to drive image car that S2000 and Exige will rightfully thumb their noses at.
