You mean 326ps instead of 306? percentage wise it's not such a huge difference.
On the other hand, I am very curious to know what is the horsepwer of the 2.5 and 3.0 versions. the 2.5 currently in the 325 is actually 3.0 and is stuffed with torque, I drove the cabrio 3 series, which weighs like a tank, and it actually felt very fast with only 218ps because of the high torque.
If the z4 will get that engine, or even better a 240ps version of it, i'll be happy with it!

On the other hand, a 3.0 275ps for example, would be WOW. if the price isn't too much higher, it could be the car to buy. as for the bi-turbo, well costs are in another arena...

If it is going to weight as much as a three series I will be seriously pissed!!
the z4 has to be max 1500kg. The bmw 3-series coupe starts at 1600kg i think.. weight kills the car and horsepower doesn't fix this.

also, i hope it's not going to be much more expensive than the current z4.

so do the new Miata, the S2000 and the SLK, they're still little roadsters, especially the Miata and S2000, very nimble and light.

Come to think of it, there probably won't be space for a toothbrush in the trunk once the roof is retracted, if the 3-series is anything to go by

as an ex Z3 owner, i can confirm that the z3 on thta front was very practical: huge area behind the seats (the space where the rag top folds in) and unaffected trunk. This was far better than the Z4 e85 even.

Whilst we are at the cusp of effectively could well be the Dawn of a new Era .

BMW have chosen not to be "Mavericky" and put both of their November releases on hiatus for a week . Being the MINI Cabrio and the New BMW Z4 Roadster.
Another reason being the release of BMW's financial record for the quarter which will come first alowing for the good news of product launches and generate on the back of it.

BRACE YOURSELF MIKE!

If BMW says 326hp, that means 360hp so I'll take it.

This car will be a big hefty in weight. Its a folding hardtop for crying outloud!

A base Z4 is 37k. I expect the 230hp 3400lb Z to come in at 41k. :-(

It makes me a bit hesitant coming from a 2800lb 240hp s2000.

the new Z4 seem to have grown in size? Maybe you need to wait for Z2 if you want a nimble car with low weight.

No. Since that is the exact same engine as the 335i, only 326 hp.

No. Haven't you seen this thread or something? There's a lot of pics of the two way folding hardtop. Much smaller than the three way 3er one. The roof has to go over two persons, only. So it'll be lighter than 3er.
