AFAIK BMW is not too big into playing marketing games with engine power the way MB does. And thank god for that, engines getting artificially capped is a big put off.

I would go for the Z4 Roadster using the four cylinder diesel from the 123d ,
Lightweight chassis design offering greater dynamics and agility , BMW "efficient dynamics" meaning low C 02 emissions .
And of course output of 204 PS for adequate performance.
Someone who drove a prototype reckon it will be the most popular Z4 Roadster model in Europe because it will offer everything you expect. They even said it is a very exciting groundbreaking sports car. And I can even live the soft-top roof.

^^ I surely wouldn't. I'd go for either the M version or the twin turbo gasoline.
Diesel inside a roadster is kinda 'meh' for me. Even if it's this gem.
