Yes, Jon Sibal is the author. Not bad looking, but not the real deal...or so I heard. I'm sure Scott or EnI know more than us.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

Not the best rendering for me, the back is not muscular enough... and the headlights have not enough personality

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

I think it's fairly accurate- yes maybe the headlights and grille might turn out to be slightly larger...
but the problem I have is that the photoshop just doesn't convey the muscularity I think will be in the production version.
This seems flat to me- like an essential component of the character is missing.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

The grille is larger and there is less metal work at the front of the car and the actual car offers more in proportion due to it's wide track and elegant surface work , Not bad! but I am afraid to say no one is closer to the finished car....yet!

And from my perspective that is a good thing.

Not that long to go thirty something days...

We've seen this photoshop before....but I wanted to repost it again as a counterpoint for comparison to the one done by Jon Sibal.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

My first post here and just wanted to say thanks for all the feedbacks on my rendering. I'm always open and really appreciate constructive criticisms.

Scott27, thanks for the info. I made some adjustments to my rendering. I made the kidneys larger and made the kidney and the vent slats flat black. Also removed the markers on the side mirrors. I guess that's all for now. I can't wait to see the real deal.

Thanks again guys

Edit: Went through the whole thread and considered EnI's posts as well and I adjusted the headlight shape.
