^ we know. You start about it every time it comes up

It doesn't bother me at all. The standard antenna on the 1er looks fine too. The small one you have maybe is a bit better looking, but I don't think the signal strength will hold up in an area where there is little reception? Or remains the quality ok everywhere?

I havent been around in every place in Sweden but the reception is good and I havent noticed any differences.
It was for an extremly cheap cost and Im 100% satisfied with the result.

I can also listen to some radio stations from Denmark I still have the original antenna in a closet at home...I give it to you for 200 euro

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

I was about to make a comment about how stupid it is that a car in 2008 can't tackle the antenna issue but then I took a look at the SLK and noticed the same thing - so it's a wash.

I think in just a few short years it'll seem silly that cars like this have antennas at all because terrestrial radio will be completely supplanted by internet streams, either directly to your smartphone or to some kind of receiver device.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

According to Edmunds line BMW E89 will be shown in LA auto show in November this year and became available after new year ?? Thats sooner we expected

copy paste from Edmunds:

BMW has also confirmed that the all-new Z4 coupe and convertible will be shown at the Los Angeles auto show in late November. The new model will go on sale in January, after the Detroit auto show.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

I think the media are getting carried away again.
I think they are confusing themselves with the fact that they think the Z4 is still made in the USA that the car will be available stateside first.

Actually the new car will go on sale in europe first, And then be launched in the states.

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

My sources:

Production start: 12/08
Premiere: Geneva, March 2009
Launch: Europe - March 2009, US - May 2009

Perhaps LA will premiere Z4 Concept.

Btw, Edmunds is presenting some strange info here.
X1 premiere in Paris 2008? Definitely not!
Not even the 7er Hybrid, nor 760(L)i - they are more possiible for LA or Detroit showings.

.

I agree. X1 Production car - not exactly , Concept 7er Active Hybrid (night shooting at the Welt just now) and 7er Individual - yes.
760Li - No because we shoot the car in November for Geneva 2009.
But another BMW Group brand will showcase something to do with MINImalism.
