The current Z4 3.0Si is 1,385 kgs and if BMW want to gain in sportiness they will have to put it on a diet. From what I have gathered BMW wants to move away from the comfort orientation in the current Z4.

The Z4 is already a sport roadster and putting a hardtop folding roof will certainly pull it towards the opposite direction. With big effort they can make it light but that will require extensive use of aluminum and magnesium which would jack the price up to new heights. |
