not sure for the beige. Although my Z3 was beige inside and it's THE color for roadsters, especially with Atlanta blue, unfortunately today it's still very 90's. it's seen too much in merc taxis with the wood option all over the doors and everywhere.
Roadsters are very 90's If not beige then a light grey interior would also work for me.

Here in Sweden all taxis have black interior (well not ALL, but about 90% of them) and are Mercedes E-class.

In other words, hot

But for an eccentric looking car like the new Z4 the red and blue will be the most suitable colours. The X6 looks smacking in them.

It has something to do with intended BMW plans to badge all models marketed as a coupe/cabrio/roadster with even numbers.

Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8
2-series
4-series
6-series
8-series
X2, X4, X6

etc

Therefore they changed Z3 into Z4.

^ No, that idea started much later Eni.

Z4 is Z4 because they wanted a completely different car than the slow, feminine, E30 based cheap a$$ Z3. Changing the name has a big part of changing public perception of this roadster. Plus it was a lot bigger car suddenly, and the size difference between old and new Z4 is quite small.

How can they have the antenna like that? At least place it further back and make it smaller....

This plan didn't work long for BMW since when it came for the new E92 coupe, suddenly BMW ddn't wan't to name it a 4 series, thus ditching the M3 for M4.

i totally agree. on another point, but the outside zise of the E85 was inversly proportional with the inside.
in the Z3, which I owned for many years, the doors are low, and when you glance to the back, you see the trunk and the road as if it was in an arm's reach. a very very precious roadster experience and mix with the elements. and when the roof is up, you have the space under the rear window where you can store a backpack, books, or a big jacket.

when you climb in the z4, you are surrounded by higher doors, and when you look at the back, there is a high plastic wall that ends with the roll hoops that already start very high, and no space in front of them, or behind them, and you can't see the folded roof or the trunk or the road when you look back because you are sitting low in a world of plastic, and no place to store a jacket or anything.

this was very frustrating for me, why the bigger newer model is smaller and less practical.

Mike
