Performance is for people who would otherwise go for 3rd party mods....BMW wants a piece of that 'pimp my ride' cake...
Don't get me wrong though, I love the performance parts, it's a great move by BMW.
A Z4 Tii would basicly be a BMW Z4 performance car, but with engine mods this time. And hopefully loss of weight.

I'm a little confused, sorry but does this mean that there will be a regular twin turbo and a Tii one? isn't an E89 with the twin turbo engine nothing more than a normal replacement to the E85 3.0si?
and a tii will be a slightly "pimped" version? (bigger brakes, some performance trim, and extra horse power?)

Correct. But would you agree that BMW Performance is done more tastefully than the "Complete Bastardisation of our products" - An actual quote from a BMW Board member.

I had a PM recently suggesting that BMW should follow Mercedes and showcase at SEMA. Umm. did you see the GLK showcars?

Due to "scheduled" events the BMW Museum will be closed to the public on....

Mine 70%. The 4.0 V8 will end up in the Z4 too, count on it

Edit; and yeah, I very much agree with that Scott. Original BMW Parts only imho....only 3rd party engine mods are allowed for me, and ceramic brakes. It's mindblowing BMW has no ceramic brakes in the tatalogue!

Re: Next generation BMW Z4 E89 - part II (first FEP pics incl. !!!)

An idea crossed my mind when i wrote that post klier!

Why not a Z4M with a uber-tuned version of the I6 3.0l TT engine (N54?) of thex35i cars offering about 350hp and featuring a lot of EDs and electric motors/gizmos?

Highly unluckily to happen, huh?
