BMW Concept: Vision Z sports car

This is definitely exciting news!!!

It’s one of the epic battlegrounds of the 21st century and in CAR’s new May 2008 issue we find out how the car makers are fighting back. Don’t underestimate the challenge that lies ahead... We speak to the engineers who are reinventing the car for a carboncentric zeitgeist. BMW is developing Vision Z – a blueprint for a guilt-free sports car. And we profile the Opel Flextreme, one of the most significant concept cars of the decade.

Elsewhere, we meet Per Eklund and drive very sideways on ice in the new Saab 9-3 Turbo X, discover Britain’s best GTI and get up close and personal with the new VW Scirocco.

PLUS: New-look Bulletin. More news, more insight

Scott & I mentioned it quite some times:

EffecientDynamic M-exclusive large performance coupe based on the new "Z8" ...

Z29 concept by BMW Technik has always had an agenda.

So has the BMW California Spyder Concept.

And so has the H2R Concept.

P.S.: With CS Concept the formal understated & mature pole of the new gen BMW design has been shown .... With the new design study the other pole will be shown: the frenzy sporty youthful pole.

Re: BMW Concept: Vision Z sports car

If you get to read the article , you will discover that it is Car Magazine's interpretation of what a BMW hybrid supercar should be in 2018.
This was all done during Geneva but copy text are submitted to marketing for our approval first.

It is nothing officially to with BMW per se, but unofficially - Great minds do think alike...

Re: BMW Concept: Vision Z sports car

I wish they'd built the Z29, at the time it was being touted as a 'Z5'!

It was only a prototype for testing light-weight structures and therefore its exterior was not an issue of importance, it was done with minimum effort. The Z29 is a similar prototype as Z13, Z18, Z21 or Z22.
