Hmmm, very interesting. I'd be amazed if they did such a thing. More than 426 kW? That would be rather frivolous in times like these imo.

There are always those that are ready to pay. Besides, who does not want to appear to be untouched by an economic crisis? Grand designs have always emerged in hard times. They make people forgett about the state of the real world.

Not all the models...the standard ones will still have the same engine specs. The engine performance upgrades is exclusive to the M-sport package.

As for the new iDrive, both X5 and X6 models will be receiving the new iDrive controller and the Drive logic including the hard drive and USB port.

Yes, all X5 & X6 are getting new iDrive system in the Fall.

Hybrid systems are expensive and new. I was only surprized it did not debut in an even more expensive vehicle that only corporations would buy.

So 550i M sport will have 450 hp? Standard version 407 hp...sounds good. Extra power to back up the agressive looks. Not just looks and a stiffer suspension, I like!

Very nice upgrades,i love the looks of the 50i much more than the rather "weak" looking exhausts,rims and bumpers on the M version,and this new upgrade is perfect.

The X6M should have been called X6 xDrive60i (maybe with the 544bhp V12) and only been offered with an M Sport package (like the 135i) and sold for about 95,000. Instead BMW chose to plunder the M division.
