BMW has launched a microsite available at - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER (which we already know about)
and have officially announced the launch date for the X6 to be May 31, 2008.

On the road in the new BMW X6: Customers will be able to share in a completely new vehicle experience when they visit the online visualizer at the BMW microsite. For the first time, customers will not only be able to configure their vehicle in their dream colours with their favorite wheel rim combinations; they will also be able to drive it through the city....the X6 will be available from (German) dealers from 31 May 2008...the Visualiser will be available for three years on the national website. The microsite was developed by OgilvOne in Frankfurt and Mackevision/Polychrom....

The article doesn't state which models are launching, or anything else.

May 31st is German launch date. I was told by BMW guys at auto show that the release date is April 19th in US.

Yes, May in The Netherlands as well.....and I have been told that the 4.4 biturbo is going to be available from the start

Right in time for the Spring buying season.
