I agree.....TTV8 and Hybrid/Green is a very hard act to pull off.Someone told me early on when the X6 was chosen to receive the Hybrid drivetrain,that BMW wanted to prove a point.That you could hookup a TTV8 w/ the two mode hybrid system and have a very fun,sporty car to drive...w/ decent (relative term) MPG for the segment.As a huge car enthusiast/Sports Car nut...I commend BMW for swinging for the fence.I hate to lose the big V8's in this rush to Green.In hindsight.....maybe the I6 would have been a better platform to attack the Greenies.But......the sales meter will tell the final story.Thanks! Total system output is 353kW (480hp) and 780Nm, while average C02 emissions are 231 g/km. The average fuel consumption is about 20% less than the equivalent petrol-only powered V8. The vehicle can also travel for up to 2.6km (1.6 miles) at 60km/h (37mph) on electric power alone.
