Yes. But I think the X5 and X6 are almost equally different. Only slightly less so.

Erm, 5er is a saloon with 4 doors and space to carry 4-5 grown people, while 6er is more of a luxury GT, with cramped interior space and 2 doors only.

Both X5 and X6 sit high of the ground, have 4 doors, with enough space inside for 4-5 people (ok, not the 210cm guys like you Dutch freaks ), 4x4 with both off and onroad capabilities, etc...

Yeah,I know that..I meant from perspective of potential buyer of this kind of wheicle..I´ m guessing that money is not a problem to those ppl..And I know for sure that in my case I would feel little ashamed in X5 when seeing X6 in traffic beside me .Wouldn´t you be?

You or what? X5 is as well (almost) brand new car, looking 10 times better (imo) than all the competition. Sure the X6 looks better, but we're comparing concept car to production version and to be ashamed while being parked beside X6? NEVER!

Well, the X5 is available with 7 (!!) seats, and the X6 probably not more than 4. So I say the difference is as big as the 5er and 6er. Maybe bigger, because I can fit 4 people in my 6er and you only 1 more in your 5er (my passengers have much less space inside though, granted)

X6 is 10 lower than X5. 5er is not that much higher than 6er


The only REAL arguement you have left is the 2 door vs 4 door. Nothing I can say there.

I know I would if i have an X5. People who buy an X5 is definitely more image conscious than your average car buyer, after all that is why a lot of people buy an X5 even though they use none of its limited off road ability. If they want space and practicality a 5 series touring will do the job, plus it is a better drive. Unlike the difference between an E-class and CLS, the X6 can sit 5 people right? The CLS didn't really hurt E-class sales because people who buys an E-class really do need the space, where else those who buy the CLS really like the style. The 2 target customer groups have a little overlap, however I think the target customer group for both X5 and X6 are very similar.
