i think that they are there, its just good hidden
the 1 series coupe rear shots also looked as if there was no LED bar - the press pics now show the opposit - so don't worry

Even the new X5 and the facelifted 5 series have CELIS-LED strips infront of the normal non LED brake lights. I think the X6 does have those LED strips but they are not turned on because the headlights aren't on. So what you see in the photo are just the normal brake lights, like all other new BMWs. I could be wrong though.

You are 100% right.

Daytime driving lights are switched off, so neither CELIS LED strips nor front CELIS LED rings are seen!

That illuminated part of the rear light in the spy pic is a braking light. If you look closely you'll see the C-LED strips as well inside the cluster, yet they are not illuminated.

The white strip you can see in the cluster is a reverse light, while the blinker is the dark red part above the white strip.

PS: the rear light part on the boot lid is camoed, while the red reflector strips are fake / provisional. The real red reflector strips are positioned in the rear bumper - right above PDC sensors (the white dots). The cluster shape (the part on side wings) will be similar to X5 but longer & sleeker & narrower (more aggressive, more triangular) - while the part on the boot lid is L-shape-ish (similar to Huck's impression).

Hmmm, I'm not really impressed from the shape of the X6. I guess it's because of that light camouflage. I'll have to wait until it's fully revealed to the public.

looks like it will have the x5 facia, was hoping for something different and more aggressive, but i like the overall shape.

I don't get these vehicles - these vehicles being large ones with sloppy roof lines - like X6 or CLS - the whole point of a big car is space and the point of a sloppy roof is to make the car look sporty. These are neither - they compromise the space and look bulky at the same time. I guess the target market is ostentations people who want to make a statement about their "sporty" character - and I guess that is a pretty big market right now.

Is the body of the X6 both wider, taller andlonger than the X5's body or is it just longer and wider? I don't know if it is because of masking tape but it looks a bit too tall.
