The only thin g I somehow have to get used to the most is that old school grille...I don't like it that much yet. I was hoping for something more modern...

So, guys, this is it.
X6 Sports Activity Coupe.
Now in production-ready body (so, the pre-FEP bumpers were indeed fake!)
It's more or less a coupe version of X5.
What connects the X6 with X5 is almost identical hood & grille & dashboard & side mirrors, similar headlights, similar headlight graphics, similar character line.
Yet the shape is new: lower, wider, a bit longer. Very coupeish. New front & rear bumpers. New side profile. Completely new rear. Different yet similar headlights. More aggressive stance.
The car car is screaming X5 coupe all over.
I was expecting - and my sources hinted in that way - a more individual product. Somethnig like X5 vs X3: same family, but different design. But I was misled by my sources a bit. Hyping my expectations a bit too high.
But I guess cost cutting left consequences (excessive part sharing between X5 & X6). I wonder if the next X3 & X5 & X6 & X4 will look very alike since all 4 models will be built in Spartanburg plant. I hope not!
Nevertheless: X6 is a very interesting vehicle, and I'm sure it will be received extremely well.

I have to agree with you- I am disappointed as well.
