I think the black car is an X5.
I also think the front of the X6 is still a camo- I think it is using the X5 bonnet as camouflage.

The X6 in spy pics is a production version (the white car)!!!

Nothing will change. It will hit the roads as you see it in the pics - without the camo tape of course!

Front bumper shape is very well seen, but due the tape some detailes are missing (eg. mild creases etc). Also a black tape (on a white body) makes bumpers a bit stupid-looking (especially due the sharp horizontal line between black & white parts).

X5 Sport (with V8 turbo) appearance will follow E53 "is" version with its special body kit - which will be very similar to standard X6 (as you can see it in the spy pic: the black car)!
While X6 will get M-Sport package later - with specific body kit.

So, a customer will be able to choose between numerous versions:
standard X5, X5 with Aero pack, X5 with M-sport body kit, X5 Sport (V8 turbo) with standard X6-looking body kit, standard X6 (similar to X5 Sport body kit), X6 with M Aerodynamic body kit, and at the end of the line: top model X6: M Sport - with special M body kit.

X5 V8 turbo with 420hp?

Yep..I somehow had the inkling that it will happen.
I am also inclined to believe that NA will get X5 with N54 & N64 engine line up.
Europe may have have more options.

BMW doesn`t need a turbo to achieve that number with a V8

But using a 4.4 litre engine to achieve it does present some tax benefits as opposed using a NA engine to achieve the same HP. The cost of upgrading the Power of the Turbo engine is a lot less than using a NA engine.
There also fuel economy benefit associated with using a Turbo engine.

New BMW X6 Standing Next to X5 Spy Photos

The photos were taken close to BMW's Munich Test Center (Aschheim).. I used to work in that area and saw all those prototypes driving around ...I remember being always alert in that area and on lookout for those camouflaged cars... Now I kind of miss this thrill..

I wonder if we will see both the X6 and the new M car this month?

X6 this month? Isn't that a bit to early especially since BMW shaved off the heavy camo just a two weeks ago.
