I think it wouldn't be worth it if your car is this heavy to begin with..

^^^ Well come to think of it, an M version of the new 7er would have been much better and more logical than the X5 and X6.
7er is much more of a drivers car than X5/6

It was raining X "M"'s at the PC track this week.This X5 M seems pretty far along in development as did the X6M.I do believe these are the first published pic's of the X5M w/ the camo'ed M side gills or slits.The testers in the desert and on the Ring did not have the camo'ed side gills.This X5M has also picked up the white LED lights on the bottom of those huge air intakes like the X6M.Also,the roof rack seems more integrated into the roof line...like on the X6.The rear bumper seems production ready as well.The engine in the X5M does seem to sound more like the TTV8 found in 50i X6.Deeper,louder exhaust note than the X6M IMO.I'm just not real sure on this "M" engine deal!!!???? I initially felt the X5M and X6M would have the same engine.But the X6 is positioned above the X5 in the regular marketplace...would the same apply in the "M" marketplace....just don't know??? The 2nd vid is kidda funny...a pretty much quiet exhaust diesel X5 goes by and you hear this growing roar as the X5M approaches from the rear....I was thinking JAWS or something. Thanks! Same or very close to the X6.One of my contacts at the Plant today confirmed that the X "M"'s will be announced/confirmed in April 2009.We'll keep our fingers crossed.

A couple of short clips of the X5 M at speed on the PC track.Sorry about the wind noise....every time I see something I want to shoot a vid of....the wind is blowing 900 MPH right in my face

BMW has now confirmed tweaked TTV8's in both the X "M"'s.The exhaust note is definitely higher pitched than the TTV8 found in the 50i X6.I just bought a new camcorder...my vids will get better.
