X5 "M" - "xdrive" New Info - 06-27-2008, 11:09 AM
Hey guys one of my contacts at the plant told me they just this wk, shipped 5 hopped up X5's over to Germany for additional testing/evaluation.The powerplant is " north of 550hp" per his quote.He either won't say or really does not know if it's going to be branded "M" or this "xdrive" stuff.He is in engineering/manufacturing...I'm not sure he's in the loop on branding stuff.I'll keep you posted as I find out more.Thanks! They have always said that no X5 M will be there. And X5 can't have better engine than X6, so will see....

^ It would be nice to make an X5 4.4iS tuned to around 450 hp, and then an X6 'M' with V10 and 550 hp
