Incredible crash of a member of the X5 Forum -

My 3 week old X5 was just totaled I was just involved in a head-on collision yesterday in my three-week old 2007 X5 3.0. The closer rate was at least 80 MPH when the other driver crossed the yellow lines and struck me at a head-on driver offset in her Ford Taurus. The X5 flipped over coming to a stop on the roof after sustaining tremendous damage. I did not lose consciousness during the event and found myself upside down still strapped in. Please see the attached photos of the X5. I was rushed to the Hospital and after CT-Scan, was released 5 hours later. The X5 was amazing. It performed exactly as it was designed to perform under such an immediate forceful impact. I have soreness in the neck, back and shoulders with some minor glass abrasions but over all, I walked away. I have already contacted my BMW Salesman to place an order for another X5 which I hope to receive in 2 months.

If you're referring to Mr. Sikorski, i'm glad to inform you that it wasn't him and his car involved in accident, but some member from X5World, unfortunately.
In any case i say this even if it was some Ssang Syong: that is a hell of a job concerning safety; the guy left the car with only small pain in the neck!

The X5 took a lot of damage, the crash is definitely a lot worse than those ENCAP crash testing. The other driver survived as well, that might be good, or bad...depends. Well i didnt' expect a Ford Taurus to stand a chance against the X5, but it did, so i am a bit surprised.
