BMW X3 Prototype Spotted Once Again

Actually X1 FEP. Compare the two and you can see the X1 is similar to the hatch with a sloping rear end. Whereas the X3 has a very dramatic sloping coupe like roof showcasing a very shallow rear screen.

Back on european soil and loving every minute of it!

But... This is same size as current X3!!

Not at all. It's actually much smaller ... especially lower, also shorter & narrower.

Very true, how can anyone mistake that microscopic rear door for something on the new X3?

This might sound like a dumb question.....but what does FEP stand for? I will assume the P represents prototype.Just not familiar w/ this term.Thanks Much! PalBay

I really dont' understand, the 1series 5 door originally introduced in 2004, and the coupe came a huge 3 years later, and we are now talking about a MY2010 model, still going to share the interior of a 2004 model. Yes it has been improved with the facelift, but assuming a model life of 8 years, there will be a new 1series (5 door at least) in 2012, but yet the X1 will be based on a 2004 car, but just two years older than what it should be.

This doesn't look like the same deal between the 3series vs X3 or 5series vs X5, there were pretty huge differences between those apart from the same platform.

I´m sorry but i still saying there is NOT a noticiaable difference of size between X1 and X3. Can´t stand why the hell more and more SUV are coming.
