Yeah, I reckon it's not that bad, either. The strong side profile is an improvement on the current somewhat strangely contoured side. The front could be promising, too, in Volvo's bluff and attractive style of late.

However, that triangular motif for the inside contour of the rear lights is pretty ugly and jarring, not appearing anywhere else. Hmm.

Edit: yeah, gimme square lights like that chop's, anyday. Front looks good there, too.

The V70 is the station wagon edition of S60 right? So when is the new S60 coming?

I wish Volvo would do something more radical like the new S80 back in 1998. This wagon looks old already! I wish they update their 5-cylinder engines too.

I don't think it is terrible either ...put some decent rims on it and a more interesting colour ....and I think it would be quite nice.

I don't know if you can say that V70 is a S60 with a booty. S60 is trageted to a younger and active segment whereas V70 is for families/whatever.
