Taking a direct stab at a competitor is frowned upon here both by consumers and by the lawmakers. This is the reason you don't see this type of marketing / advertising in Europe.

This was a very weak ad. Here in Sweden it would make much more sense to have an ad where VW customers are thaught how to service their own cars as VW workshops are the worst in the country. Proven.

But I guess they have a point, they better give the service away for free as it is so bad they could never charge anyone for it
