  | Volkswagen T5 Pickup with Porsche 996 Turbo engine I saw a documentary on this company last night on TV. It is composed of four men and one woman and they do all the work themselves on these cars. Here's their website: TH AUTOMOBILE - DEUTSCHE MOBILMANUFAKTUR On of their main attractions is the modificed VW T5 Multivan. It's converted into a pickup and a Porsche 996 Turbo engine with about 420-hp is dropped in the back. The car is then made into a RWD car (standard VW T5 is FWD).  The engine is in the rear and the car costs about 170,000 Euros. Planned top speed was supposed to be over 300 km/h but in tests the car only reaches about 260-270 km/h. | Re: Volkswagen T5 Pickup with Porsche 996 Turbo engine I've heard of people dropping Porsche engines in all generations of the Transporter. I even remember reading about someone who had a T3 Camper with almost 400 hp...
