I'm not a fan of vintage cars, but this Ruf...Man, I want one!  215 hp and only 1110 kg. Lovely!!! I love those G-Type Porsches (erroneously called 930, which in fact only refers to the Turbo-version)... Kind of a toned-down Yellow Bird (500hp, 340km/h... can kill anything in a drag race, except the Veyron, and was a hard competition for the F40)! |

It could solve some problems like slow performance, bad handling, high fuel consumption and CO2.|

Safety, finish, electronic gizmos, comfort features, sound damping materials... Nobody's ready to travel any more without a dozen of airbags, 15cms thick soft-plastic dashboard, automatic-everything you can think of and a 15-stars rating in crashtest... because of that, bigger motor, meaning bigger brakes and clutch, stronger suspensions, meaning more weight, etc... But I agree with you. So much weight... It's incredible. This is one of the area where the carmakers have a lot to improve. |

I own this 1987 930 RUF. It is my dream car, the 911 legend. I push to 300Km/Hr once and don't have the nurve to do it again. |
