TT Sculpture "Parked" at the Munich Airport - Monumental sculpture of the Audi TT located between terminals 1 and 2
- Sculpture was part of the "Germany - Land of Ideas" initiative
- From Berlin to Munich
The well-known oversized TT sculpture that graced the car’s Berlin launch was delivered via low loader and crane to its new parking space on August 28.
It is an unusual object that landed at the Munich Airport. Approximately ten tons, silver and shining, it now resides in the space between the airport’s Terminals 1 and 2. The object is no flying object, but rather a monumental sculpture of an automobile that will be „parking“ there for three and a half weeks.
Moved via heavy transport and accompanied by a safety escort, the scupture moved at a very moderate speed from its first debut location near the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. From the low loader, a crane was used to elevate, then lower this massive piece – a process that took over a half hour. The hulking silver TT will be displayed at the Munich Airport until September 18.
