Sounds pretty nice but I don't like silver on anycar...
Still, Congrats... and oh BTW, the TT isn't mine.
I drive a BRABUS Xclsive 05'
If I buy the new TT i need to wait for the 225 BHP quattro version.
FWD isn't for me.. except when it comes to GOLF GT and GTI

If you add too much downforce on the rear, you will have a too light front at higher speed. When Porsche adds a bigger spoiler to its 911 (say a GT3, or back the 930), it also adds a bigger front spoiler and a lip under it to add downforce on the front too and keep the balance of the car... That is why I say that i wouldn't touch it on a car that is quite sensitive on that aspect.

If you have friends with racing backgrounds they must know what they do however.

re: TT MK2 Rear Deck Spoiler

WE don't get to drive autobahn speeds here in the state's, and the wing project that i have plans with is wider in width by 15 inches on either side of our stock spoiler, and 8 more inches in depth frt to back, so their is no down force issue's. But man does it add character to this car. I can't drive anywhere without people asking 1000 questions. Thanx for your input, it,s nice to know people still have back.

Some nice pics maybe? Sounds very cool-looking with the wing!

re: TT MK2 Rear Deck Spoiler

Hi all, I know its been awhile but this is what i've been up too............I decided to go a different route and keep what came with the car from the factory, and make something that would be more aggressive and add more style to my car. what do you all think?????????? Im still not sure if i will market the mod yet, but i did file for a patent.

Re: TT MK2 Rear Deck Spoiler

WB = Welcome Back

I know I said before I don't like silver looking cars but I've changed
since then, and the Sahara silver is quite nice..
I've seen it IRL my self... still If I was to chose, I would go for the darker
DakarBeige.. But your car still rocks but I can't figure out that rear spoiler ?!
... Is that the finished product ? I've never seen such a spoiler before ..

Re: TT MK2 Rear Deck Spoiler

Thanks for the warm welcome. As for the wing, what i did was wrap the stock spoiler so that it would stand out, then machined 2 wing extender/adaptors which moved the wing back off the edge of the car, but still allowing it to raise and lower without problem. AND STILL KEEP THE ORINGINAL ANGLE, all but higher in the air stream.

The TT RS will have a OEM fixed rear spoiler.
