I have no idea - but this car is different (in design specs and technology) so, the gear lever is it too… ![]() ![]() …not a great fan of the design, the front looks much better then before, but the whole car is a design flop!

![]() | Re: 2010 Toyota Prius Debuts at Detroit This car just gave me diarrhea.. Front mash up nissan Z 350 and 370. Back from a subaru legacy. Interior from a Russian Zil or Kamaz... Front grill is like a bad designer joke gone into production by mistake. Oh... and fuel is cheap now. No need to play eco-hyppocrites anymore. When is the new Hemi-Cuda due ? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: 2010 Toyota Prius Debuts at Detroit Do we need to associate dull and ugly with clean and green? This seems to be a worringly pervasive trend among carmakers: the eco-friendly designs aren't in the least bit interesting, pretty or aspirational. Look, I recognise the mindset behind aerodynamic shapes combined with space-liberating packaging but, really, there is no excuse in the world for this car to be so completely awful. Especially to us petrolheads... Surely the strategy is belly-up? If a car maker wanted to attract buyers to this new wave of motoring then shouldn't this be done with an attractive car? It's the long-term association that concerns me; as consumers, are we to associate boring and ugly designs with eco-friendliness from here on? The aesthetic appeal of this "new generation" Prius is an epic fail. I shan't have one because it makes me nauseous looking at it. Eco-warrior and supreme drag-coefficients notwithstanding - the new Prius is still a ghastly looking car: ![]()
