I not sure the update looks so much better, it still is a very plan design!

Surely this means the F/L Golf isn't that far away?

Re: VW introduces face-lifted Touran

If you’re struggling to park your MPV, VW has the answer: one that parks itself.

If you specify ParkAssist, the Touran will steer its way into a parking space for you. VW claims it will do so in less than fifteen seconds.

VW has refreshed the car’s styling, though you need keen eyesight to spot it. The exterior metal has had mild tweaks front and rear, whilst the interior features new fabrics. Equipment has been bolstered so that you don’t have to go so far up the trim levels to get an MP3-playing sound system or semi-automatic air conditioning.

The current Touran’s diesel engine range has just expanded to include the 167bhp unit from the Golf and VW’s innovative 138bhp Twincharger unit.

New for the refreshed Touran will be the Twincharger engine in 167bhp tune. The car will be on sale in the UK in the first quarter of next year.

i don't think that this future will be availiable. Every car maker has a similar future, but you can't get it with your car. I mean there is no car out there that can park itself, even if you pray to God.

Anyway, i think that it is a very usefull future, but as Osna said once, "If you can't parallel park, then you can't drive at all"

Re: VW introduces face-lifted Touran

Cheap shot?

Anyhow, this feature is included in the press release. I suppose it's for real, then. I think the Japanese have had something like this for a while now, though - but I'm not sure whether it's sales-ready, but whatever.

Not a bad vehicle, I guess, if you gotta seat seven. I'll be hoping VW bring the Touran here - now, or come the new model - or people who want seven seats, smallish and non-SUV might be faced with the prospect of having a Citroen C4 Picasso or something. New or not, I'm still not that keen on PSA cars, nor French ones in general. Holden aren't bringing the Zafira in anymore, and SUVs aren't everyone's cup of tea.
