996 paintwork correction detail - 12-27-2007, 03:32 PM

HARD, VERY HARD.
The clearcoat on this Porsche was the hardest I have ever worked on. The bonnet ( respray ) was definetly bullet proof, it took a lot of hours to correct.
Some heavy swirling, and a good layer of grime on this one.

After an interior clean and the engine and boot seals etc. cleaned, it was time to clay. CYC yellow used.

After taping up, and a proper inspection of the damage -

Loads of testing, and some swearing as the Menz PG and IP decided to crumble to dust and lumps a plan was decided. - Sonus SFX1 pad and Menz polishing pad, with a mix of - 2:1:1 of SFX1, Menz PG and Menz IP.
Here are some 50/50 -

and after -

Wheels -

Exhaust - Megs All Metal
Lenses - SFX2 on SFX2 pad.
Glass - AS Glass Clear.
Tyres - AS Highstyle.
Wheels - same as bodywork.

Carlack NSC used as pre-wax cleaner/prep.
Swiss. Best of Show to finish.

A last shot, on the way back home over the Pennines. Through Snake Pass, ( A57 ) one of the best driving roads in the country.

Thanks for reading.

Sorry guys, didn't think it would be classed as spam, most forums allow detail write ups so long as company contact details aren't advertised.
I have a great worldwide reputation on many forums, so I wouldn't want to tarnish it.

No further detail write ups will be posted.

As a first post with your logo on every pic it would be...

Get to know the forum first...

It isnt a bad thing to own a company that does detail work and for others to know, but have some tact bro, i mean come on, first post, you knew what you were doing...

Have fun, Im sure you'll get around to introductions.... in fact we have an intro section, feel free and post there if you like...

No Hard Feelings Man...
