Car Care/Detailing - 08-08-2007, 04:23 PM

I was just wondering if anyone else here is into car detailing? Do you keep your cars clean yourselves or by someone else? What do you use to clean your cars?

I can spend hours detailing my cars. It's just something I really enjoy to do. I was my car at least once a week (unless it stays dry, which isnt very often in Scotland!). Keep them nice and shiny with different polishes and waxes. I only polish once or twice a year, then just keep it well waxed 2 to 3 months. Generally, I use AutoGlym car cleaning products- good quality and a reasonable price. I dont buy any products to clean the inside of the car. I havve different home made soluutions to clean specific parts of the car. My neighbours think I'm mad, but since one of our cars isnt garaged, it all pays off in the end. We sold our 14 year old Toyota last year, but it still looked brand new- not a spot of rust.

So anyway, just wanted to start this thread for anyone else who shares this interest!
