Smarts are cool looking cars. The coupe/roadster especially. They serve their purpose and do it well. If I lived in a city like San Francisco I would buy a smar in a heartbeat. Good choice for your first car, will give you lots of experience. Getting an expensive luxury car as your first car is never a "smart" dicision...LOL

I'm soon ready to make my call and get a SMART
I have just found out that I will get these rims for the car..

My car will actually stay original cause I found a car I want much more..
But I can't afford it right now.

I will hopefully test the SMART later this week.. Photo's and driving impressions then!

Finally My own car... Can't wait!!

I have bad memories of the Smart Roadster I drove - then again I've heard other people praise the handling so maybe there was something wrong with the car I drove (steering wise). But the jerky transmission still seems to be a problem in terms of refinment. Either way it's an ok first car. Nice color choice, will look good on your Smart and the rims too!

Well.. Don't forget that Smart is a Mercedes and I have heard people say that they have seen Smart cars with Mercedes badge!

All cars have their faults but I think this is one of the better cars to have faults with.

Looking sharp Julius. The car suits you to a tee. Now both of us have roadsters. Right on.

There's not much Mercedes in Smarts to be brutally honest. Mercedes makes really good automatic transmissions for example, but the transmission in the Smart ForTwo and Roadster felt really terrible. Unrefined, lousy shifts...just terrible.

Actually IMO, Smart isn't the kind of brand that offers tons of driving excitement. Their auto transmissions aren't so good, nor they have powerfull engines.

All what smart is about is style/fashion and they practicity (sp?) of driving a very small car.... No one said that Smart makes phat cat cruisers nor M3s.

PS. I know that they make lousy auto trannys from first hand though... It is an undeniable fact...

The engines aren't powerful, but Smart's aren't heavy either. In fact the Smart Roadster I drove had the turbo engine and it was fast as hell!
