| Need Some Help -

Well, for those who don't know I drive an 01 A4, and for the last week I have been driving my mothers car, so my car has sat idle for a week in sub-zero temperatures. My old battery died and I have hence bought a new one, but now the radio is stuck in "safe" mode, and I cannot use it at all, soo...
Does anybody know how to fix this, I looked in the manual, nothing.

Can't really help Jeff. ..
However, I can relate. The exact same thing happened to my dad's E34 540i when the battery died. We had to go to the BMW dealer where they typed in the VIN number in a computer and retrieved the password for the radio system.
What a hassle. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Bruce For This Useful Post: | | | Aficionado

I don't know about Audis but in Hondas when you change the batter the soundystem goes into safe mode. In order to bring it back you have to enter a code. The best thing would be to call your dealer. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to NarutoRamen For This Useful Post: | | | Enthusiast

Thanks guys, I believe I have my radio card in my glovebox, I'll check tommarow, I'll try and fix it myself like stated in the Audiworld link, ree provided. If not I'll go visit the dealer, even though it is an hour away... | | | | | Connoisseur
