| Re: New Subaru Impreza WRX STI Thread Bear in mind that the sound of the JDM-spec 2.0 STi we hear in this thread will be different to that of the 2.5 litre international engine. Primarily due to the twin-scroll turbo and the high-revving nature, the JDM-spec has a more high-pitched tone than the single scroll turbo, lower-revving 2.5 litre for global markets. It's a shame that the rest of the automotive world is deprived of these utterly unbelievable, high performance 2.0 litre engines. Japs: Lucky bastards.

| Re: New Subaru Impreza WRX STI Thread Pre-order the 2008 Subaru STI Subaru has announced that you can pre-order the all-new 2008 STI starting November 15, which is the announcement date of the car's North American debut at the LA auto show. On the pre-order spec sheet it's noted that the US-spec model will indeed have a 306 horsepower engine, which is up a bit from the 2007 model's 293 rating.
