I really like the 159's exterior, it's classy and elegant, but i'm afraid the 3er would be my choice, in my opinion it's the better overall package.

Me too, the 3er would be the complete choice. Alfa has sorted out most of its problems but not all of them, not nearly enough to topple the 3er.

Too bad about the transmission feel. Seems like an otherwise compelling car.

It's curious that sporting brand like Alfa doesn't have a RWD car. Save for the Alfa 8C.
