If I`m not mistaken I believe the SLR is the only exotic in the world that uses Carbon Fiber for the crash stucture. The only alumium used in this car are the tubes in the engine compartment. Everything else is Carbon Fiber, this is the reason the SLR has the stiffest body stuture in the world.

| Re: Gumball McLaren SLR brake failure No crash tests I have seen of the CGT, but plenty of real world crashes! Also, I believe the CGT is all carbon fibre too for its crash structure...?

| Re: Gumball McLaren SLR brake failure That brake noise IS annoying. No wonder everyone is complaining about it. BTW, the SLR will be featured on the Science Channel's "Beyond Tomorrow" next week (Aprill 12th).
