Apparently Tpg Gear guys don't want to invite them so they did this with their own driver on the Top Gear track.

i understand why they wouldnt want to track that car..
its a damn go cart.. no body cares about these cars..

The GTR is a very potent car, just look at all the record it's broken and this is just another one. Radicals are also fast and could easily break the record but they don't have them on the show because noone cares!

I somewhat agree, and It was fully expected that such a vehicle would beat the lap record.

Trouble is, Ultima did this lap with their own test driver and as where as we'll aware, Top Gear does all of their laps with the same driver (or so we're told). Thus in my mind makes the lap time immediately less impressive.

Nevertheless, I congratulate Ultima on thier achievement.

Now that they've had the Caparo in the show, why not bring Ultima and Radical models too?

The Caparo is a bit more interesting than simply a trackday car.

Why ??

Designed by Gordon Murray, alot more intersting looks and near F1 car performance promises.

I personnaly really doubt anything come close to an F1 when it comes to setting a time around racetrack, but even if the Caparo had been designed by god him self and faster than light, it still is a go cart and then it's not more appropriate than the ultima to be tested.
