Hmmm can't say I'm a big fan of the interior. Mercedes seems to seriously have lost the plot here, their best current designs are the S and CL by far. All the newer ones look mediocre.

I like the interior except the copied c class radio.They should have had something different in my view.

A radio is a radio to me (and most other people). I couldn't care less if this SLS had the radio from the A-Class in it. The purpose of a radio is for entertainment and on the positive side employing the same radio in your lineup means ease of use.

Think about it. It would be confusing for a lot of buyers if they had to constantly relearn how to use different radios in different MBs.

Aesthetics are also important especially when you are talking about a car costing US$150,000.

The item must integrate well with the rest of the interior.

Beside the slab of C-Class on the center console I find the interior very appealing. If there is one aspect that MB are better at than most manufacturers, it's retro jobs. The SLS interior is retro without looking old -- unlike the Dodge Charger or Ford Mustang interior which are poor modernizations of old designs.

One quick at Lambos or Bentleys interior makes me just love the SLS interior..parts sharing at VW is limitless

I like the interior. It's a refreshingly modern take on Retro. Kind of like what the new Camaro is doing. You can see where the inspiration comes from, but it is quite its own and unique.

I hate that they used the same old radio/climate interface as every other Benz, but surely that is s nit-pick of the highest order when you consider what we're talking about here......a custom-built sports car from Mercedes-Benz-AMG. How often do we get that? They spent the money everywhere else it seems and that is what matters.
