Yeah exactly, it's a division of Mercedes and that's how people perceive it to be. An AMG badge has no place in the big league especially if the car is priced like a Ferrari 599GTB. But let's wait and see what Mercedes does, I guess they feel a little lonley now when they aren't collaborating with Mclaren and feel urge to slap some ambiguous badge on their super car.

I think this the predecessor of the SLR does not necessarily have to cost as much as the SLR. Therefore, I think this pair is the successor of the SLR--or at least its replacement--on the MB's product portfolio. Other than the SL BS and the Gullwing, there should be no more supercars in development (i.e. "true" SLR successor as suggested above).

Power may be a low speculation for now. They will slap turbos on the V8--this has been confirmed--and the minimum result should be around 550 (541 quoted on an article), but other versions are as high as 700 (Hammer II).

It looks like the Gullwing (s) will be a preview of the next SL's aluminium platform.

Cool chop, but those tail lights look out of character for a Mercedes, zero resemblance with anything we've previously seen. Don't care much for it though, I'm waiting for Hucklefeldt to step up.

Yeah that isn't bad and it might be close since the Viper looking prototype is so long in the hood area.
