Sasha, there is a debate going on about what this car will be called. Both BS and SLC are a possibility.


The engine sound has the same characteristics and note as the 6.3. But this one sounds quite relaxed giving me the impression that it's a turbo charged 6.3l V8.

I thought the SLblack and the SLC were too differnet projects. That the SLC was a super car and that mules were being tested under the guise of Vipers.

I thought so too but apparently the SLC name has been used for the SL in the past. It came in various versions including high power ones with low weight to compete against the Porsche 928. So it's very possible that MB are going to revive the name.

Yes the SLC was the SL but in coupe, without folding roof.

However, I heard too that they were two different project: the SL Black Series, and the SLC, a kind of SLR-successor...

I still think it is the case...We don't see any pic of the SLC though, whereas the SL BS is everywhere, so it may be the same car after all.

Where is the R8 fighter then?

Yeah it is the same car. I don't think there will be an R8 fighter. MB's 100k region is already cramped with the CLK63, SL and CL. Another coupe in the same price range could not be good.

Right a regular coupe or GT wouldn't be good, but an all out sports car would be IMO.
