Yeah man i agree..they are real beautys.. MB really have some gr8 design features..that makes it easy to evolve a design.. i think good design features.. makes it very easy for designers to design a new car...
For example the bmw grill.. is a very nice thing.. its easy to design and evolve it..
But if you have a more traditional one like the volvo or vw.. its really hard to make a exciting design and still carry the trademark into the new desing..

look at the rear lights of the gullwing. They are very very small compared with the SLR

Yeah they are very small just like on most classic cars. I was a great move of MB not to produce a retro version of the SLR. Just look at the Z8 which is a dead gorgeous car but unfortunately the retro design didn't strike everyone and it resulted in the car being unsuccessful.
