Don't forget photoshop work. The days the photographer is as important as the digital image enhancer who spend 6-8 hours making photographs come to life in photoshop. Master the software and you'll be king at producing captivating photographs.

A good camera helps too. Awesome imagery by TopGear nonetheless.

Ahh yes, the SL65 black series. Such a beautiful car, but at the same time such a terrifying car. Looks like AMG hasn't forgotten how to make a monster. Let's hope they keep it up

HoH, the SLS should be a terrifically dynamic car; AMG has put today's best automotive technology into that car and it should pay off. I am anxiously waiting for that car.

IMHO, the SL65 BS is an absolute disaster. I don't think I would be too far off the pace if I were to call it an 'SL65 on steroids.' Looks aside, it is just a pointless exhibition of extravagance that simply fails to deliver on its purported aims, that of being an ultimate track tool with crushing power.

Instead, what we have is a firm-riding, prone to understeer, lack of feedback coupe with ballistic power that will break traction on a dry road at 80mph, with a gearbox from the stone ages, and a price that makes the standard SL65 look like a bargain.

Ridiculous, pointless and excessive. For the love of God Mercedes, you can do luxury cars very well, but please make your fast cars fun to drive!

670bhp + two-tonnes + 5 speed auto = one-trick pony.

(IMHO, of course).

On the other hand,

Front mid-engined, RWD + 571hp (N/A) + DSG + 1.5 tonnes = serotonin x 1000.

Thank you for posting that.......though I love the SL65 BS, the SLS will be in another league. I can't understand how any Mercedes fan could not be excited about the SLS. Seriously, Mercedes is getting over having the biggest hp figures so their fans should too because 670hp means nothing if it can't be fully used. The SL65 BS while unique is still closer to the old AMG, the CLK63 Black, C63 and hopefully the SLS and E63 are the new AMG a more well rounded product.

Ah - nicely put Bilal. As impressive as the SL65 BS is, it remains - surprisingly - unconvincing. Especially for the performance car afficionado. Having had the privilege to view the car in the flesh I can concur that it is dramatic in its presence - no doubt.

But when the time comes to consider cars that inspire one to drive them, this BS never comes to mind. (Unlike the CLK 63.)

Somehow, the overriding impression of the SL 65 AMG BS is that of a car that was engineered around the numbers as opposed to having the numbers engineered into a car. The SLS will be every bit the latter. I have no doubt about that at all.
