Thanks dude.

I think for sure that when they do make a decision on the engine for the 5.5L SC V8 it will indeed be the TT 6.3L... hopefully then w/ a 7spd DSG box

That would be one hell of a romp...

But dont you think it would be too close to the 65 version at that point?

Good q. Probably, but then they will have upgraded the capacity of the current engine to an even higher output, or perhaps some new technology derived from that on the new 6.3L. It's a great time to be an MB/AMG enthusiast!

I seconds that. The cars look amazing, especially the SL65. I didn't know that they even have given the car a power boost.

Re: GCF Coverage of the facelifted SL55 and SL65

I just read the article. The SL55 has gotton a power-boost
from 500 to 517hp. it`s torque has also increased from 516 to 530lb-ft!
Not only have it gotton a power boost, it`s steering has been recalibrated for sharper turn in and responce. ABC suspension has also been improved for flatter cornering! The brakes have also been enhanced by AMG for faster responce. The performance of these AMG models should be quit stunning compared to the outgoing models.

I like the new RaceTimer, this keeps race times if one wishes to take his SL55/65 to the track. The S65 also has this feature. I`m expecting the E63 and CLS63 to have this RaceTimer as well as the F1 style paddle shifters and enhaned performance bits like the SL55/65.

Yes, they're getting serious about overall "performance" instead of just straight line dominance.
