I would pick SL63 over SL65. Its not like SL63 is a slow car and I bet its more fun to drive than a nose heavy SL65 with an ancient gearbox.

I think we're getting launch control and sportier gear shifting (once you're rolling) mixed up here. This, what they're talking about here with the SL63 is like the Ferrari's Launch Control in which you get the fastest time possible by letting the computer do the launch from rest. A Golf has this?

same case with SMGIII and M5 V10. Not for US. But according to M5 owners I spoke to, the launch control is worthless. You can do just as good launch manually after some practise. Its more a gimmick than its useful I think.

^True about that,and didn't know that the Golf equipped DSG has that but is it really something to have LC in ur car?

Well i ges its useful but you can certainly live without it

Hmmm, this is a direct conflict with the report Merc1 posted about the
upcoming SL65 Black Series from CAR. One of the two magazines have wrong information!

Other than that the new tranny sounds awesome! can`t wait to here the official news!

The launch control thing does put its toll on the gearbox though. I think there's a limit on how many launches you can do.
