Wow, I really like the rims on the car. Its already one of the most beautiful cars in production imo. However, I'm not a big fan of those smoked-tail lights, they really don't add anything to the look.

An upgraded program for the tranny is always a plus. Too bad you have to order black leather, not that its bad looking at all, but I'd opt for something like red leather inside a silver SL.

Either way, another awesome package for SL buyers.

All of what you all are saying is true. They're just putting a little more polish on a true winner. A modern day classic the SL is and this time "Classic" still means the leader of the class, not a pretty has-been!

All of this makes me that much more nervous about this upcoming "facelift". Once we get past that, I don't want to even think about what the next all-new SL will be like.

Didn't the facelift already happen? We are just waiting on the all new version to come out, which is going to be a tremendous undertaking to out do the current SL.

The current thinking is that the SL will get another facelift for 2008 and that the SL55 will give way to the SL63. Just the current rumors. This may be the case since the SL has never been a 7-year car like all Benzes. I just hope that they don't mess up this car by trying to give it a "new look" that it really doesn't need. I'm not happy about the 5.5L SC V8 giving way to the torque challenged 6.2L V8, it won't have the torque to move the SL like the old 5.5L SC V8 does.
