I haven't seent he SLR in real life yet but hoefully I'll see the rolling around in town. My guess is that the car below is the one you saw, it even says hedinsbil at the bottom of the plate. Most chocking is the green "learning to drive" licence. Imagine someone letting you learn how to drive in a 600hp car. *** lol

A nice load of sightings today fella's...

-Audi 3.2 TT in "Inka" (?) - really sick car and sounds even more sick when accelerating, much like the MKIV R32 if not exactly.

-Ferrari 360 Modena Spider
-3 07' Jaguar XK convertibles + 1 coupe = too sick!!!
-Lamborghini Diablo - odd

Re: Spotted today! - 05-23-2006, 09:46 AM

Today I was walking on a sidewalk when a steel gray car suddenly passed me from behind. There was a test on the side of the car stating "Offical car". I looked and the pipes which i reconized pretty quicky and my eyes looked for the badge which was "RS4". I went wow, it is the first RS4 I've seen!!!
But it didn't stop there, 1min later I saw a black one 30 meters away and that's when I went mad. The Black one was absolutley stunning. It was a very shinny and clean making all the alu and chrome details stand out. I've seen M5s, 3er, E55s and all sorts of premium sedan but none of them have looked as fantastic as the black RS4 did. It was simply flawless, I love it.

Re: Spotted today! - 05-23-2006, 02:33 PM

I just saw my first Audi Q7 10 minutes ago. A silver 3.0 TDI I think. It said STCC officiall car or something on the side of it. And it also looked like it was my brothers friends dad who drove who works with STCC and is also a "bikedoctor" in a swedish bike magazine. I'll ask my brother if it's his.

To be honest it disappointed me. It looked amazing but it didn't have even near the presence it appears to have in the pictures. It appears there so majestic but on the road, not quite. The front was the best looking part of the car but the black plastic stuff in the grill just doesn't belong there.

From this I've learned that I shouldn't look too much at pictures. I think I'd rather just see the Q7 on pictures and not IRL.

Maybe I need to see a bit more of it and in different colours before I completely make up my mind.

Re: Spotted today! - 05-27-2006, 09:05 AM

Went to the local MB dealer yesterday to take a look at the SLR. As the artist mentioned it was surrounded with ropes but I still couldn't resist to stretch my arm 30 centimeters and touch the beauty.
I spent like 5-10 minutes just staring at it. From a design perspective there really isn't any car which beats the SLR. Every single bit of the car is well designed and thought through. IMO the SLR isn't a car, it is an icon. It's simply marvelous and stands as a symbol for 21th century design. It makes me proud of being an MB fan.

Snapped 2 shots too.

Looks very nice, although I don't understand why most SLRs are silver! I know the car launched in Silver but now you can have a lot more colours. At Frankfurt there was one in green and it looked very nice, black is also a very good colour for the colour!
