I have driven 260/270 km/h with my 6er in Holland......but you really do not want to get caught at those speeds, because you will lose your car, lose your licence and probably go to jail.
The speedlimit is 120 km/h here as well on freeways, but since are roads probably are even better than the ones they have in Germany, it's quite safe. Too bad it is waaaay too crowded most of the time. That's the biggest problem.....but at night...oh la-la
It's pretty easy to go beyond the limiter in the 6-series: go drive slightly beyond 250 km/h in 5th gear, then switch to 6th gear, and the limiter doesn't know anymore, and lets you drive as fast as the car can go At least, that's the case in my car, hehehe. | | | | | Connoisseur

As for the limiter... Never expected it not to work, but I guess it's better for you (the owner) in the end. Is there any chance that the speedometer is under-reporting the speed? This happens in the Phaeton - there is a speed deficiency of around 10km/h at high speeds - God knows why, but forumers at VWVortex suspects that it is to discourage fast driving. | | | | | The Photo Phanatic

Mirage, correct me if I am wrong. | It was Lee Kuan Yew.
There are many reasons why it was banned and on top of what you said, some people also used the gum to block sensors that controlled the opening/closing of mass rapid transit doors. That's why it was banned, too.
They relaxed the rules recently to allow medical patients to take medicated chewing gum. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Mr. M For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | |
